The Winchester Hotel By Newmark - Cape Town

This place suits me perfectly. Great amenities like Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and a beautiful outdoor pool. I'll never forget how staff provided plug adaptors during my first stay. Always coming back for Christmas!

The breakfast facility closing at 10am on Sunday (noting that of Saturday closes at 10 30am). More can be managed into this activity.

The hotel of choice in Cape Town. Easy base for 1 night with superfriendly staff who did the daytime shift. Brilliant food for marvellous and delicious breakfast with great coffee very good pastries.

Service was good. Hotel is old. I have to change the Rommel because the room smelled. My daughter had to change the room because a/c did not work. The new room she moved to, the bath room flooded. I think plumbing and a/c are not uptodate. Rooms smelled

The room was well furnished with balcony and we truly enjoyed the stay;))

The front desk were second to none and made our stay wonderful.

The bar staff are very disorganized.

The hotel building itself is beautiful, the location unparalleled (across the road from the promenade), and the facilities (pool, restaurant, courtyard) were elegant and inviting

We found the room facing the courtyard to be rather noisy and it lacked privacy with the only windows opening onto the passageway. The extractor fans in our room did not work. We found the staff (front desk and restaurant) to be rather stiff and not overly attentive.

the pool area was heated and the location was brilliant and pleasant, close to the cape town sea front and v&a waterfront by complimentary shuttle. the staff was very good from arrival to departure. an excellent air-conditioning, it's own balcony, and a lounge area were available in my loft.

Loved the location, with the views of the sea and mountains, but also easy access to downtown. Right on the "red bus" line which is great for tourists. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. Also enjoyed the bar/restaurant which seems to be a trendy spot for locals and visitors.

The rooms are a little small, but nicely appointed. The breakfast was great, but did not find the food in the bar all that terrific.

It's an easy base for rest. Its location is marvellous and stunning in a safe area.

It has quiet traditional charm with all of the modern facilities to make if very comfortable.

Great staff, lovely room, enjoyed the free drinks. The Wi-Fi was slow though.

The Winchester is a lovely hotel, the staff could not be more helpful. The design and age of the hotel gave it an air of stepping back in time and for 3 or 4 days as there was so much to see in Cape Town it was great.

Not a lot to do in the hotel and the pool was a bit small with not enough sunbeds.
